Use this checklist before moving an approved draft into the main encyclopedia.

Subject and Title

  • The subject meets the Inclusion Guidelines
  • The article title uses the subject’s common and correct name
  • The title is not promotional
  • No duplicate article already exists
  • Disambiguation is added when two subjects have the same name

Sources

  • Important facts have citations
  • At least two useful sources are included
  • Sources directly support the claims
  • Independent sources are used when available
  • Press releases and official sources are identified correctly
  • Broken or inaccessible links have been checked

Writing

  • The introduction clearly explains who or what the subject is
  • The article uses neutral language
  • Promotional words have been removed
  • Unsupported claims have been removed
  • The article does not copy wording from sources
  • Dates, names, titles, and locations are consistent

Living People

For articles about living people:

  • Sensitive information has strong sources
  • Private information is not included
  • Negative claims have been checked carefully
  • The article follows the Living Persons Policy

Images

  • Every image has a clear source
  • The uploader owns the image or has permission
  • The licence is shown on the file page
  • The image caption is factual
  • The image is relevant to the article

Structure

  • The correct infobox is used
  • Section headings are clear
  • References appear correctly
  • External links are limited and useful
  • Relevant internal links are added
  • Suitable categories are added

Final Review

  • The review request template has been removed
  • The draft result templates have been removed
  • The draft notice has been removed
  • The article has been previewed before publishing
  • The edit summary explains that the article passed review
  • The page is moved from the Draft namespace to the main namespace

Publishing

When all checks are complete, move:

Draft:Subject Name

to:

Subject Name

Use an edit or move reason such as:

Published after editorial review
