WikiPartner:Inclusion guidelines
WikiPartner is a free and open encyclopedia. It publishes factual articles about people, businesses, organizations, products, places, events, and other subjects that can be checked through reliable information.
Who Can Be Included
A subject may qualify for an article when:
- The subject is real and can be identified
- Enough factual information is available
- At least two useful sources support the article
- The article can provide value to readers
- The information can be written in a neutral style
- Important claims can be checked
WikiPartner does not require the same level of public fame as Wikipedia. However, every article must still have enough reliable information to create a useful encyclopedia page.
Accepted Sources
Sources may include:
- Newspapers and news websites
- Industry publications
- Books and magazines
- Government and official records
- Interviews
- Professional directories
- Company or personal websites
- Press releases
- Conference and event websites
- Trusted databases
Independent sources are preferred because they provide information from outside the subject.
Official websites, interviews, and press releases may be used for basic facts such as names, dates, roles, services, office locations, and company history.
Minimum Source Requirement
Most new articles should have at least two useful sources.
More sources may be required when:
- The article includes major achievements
- The subject makes disputed claims
- The article discusses legal matters
- The information may harm a person or organization
- The subject is living
- The article includes awards, rankings, revenue, or public influence
People
A person may qualify when there is enough reliable information about their work, career, achievements, public role, or contribution.
The person does not need to be internationally famous. However, a simple social media profile, personal website, or self-written biography alone is usually not enough.
Businesses and Organizations
A business or organization may qualify when it is active, real, and has enough information about its history, leadership, work, products, services, growth, or public activity.
Small and new businesses may qualify when reliable information is available and the article provides real value to readers.
Products and Services
A product or service may qualify when it has public use, media coverage, industry importance, documented history, or clear value as a reference topic.
A page should not be created only to advertise or sell the product.
Neutral Writing
Articles must use clear and factual language.
Avoid unsupported words such as:
- Best
- Leading
- Famous
- Top
- Most trusted
- Number one
- Revolutionary
These words may only be used when a strong source clearly supports them.
What WikiPartner Does Not Accept
WikiPartner may reject or remove:
- False or misleading information
- Pages created only for advertising
- Copied content without proper permission or credit
- Personal attacks
- Unsourced accusations
- Fake people, businesses, or achievements
- Articles with too little useful information
- Content that breaks copyright or other laws
- Pages created to deceive readers
Free Inclusion
WikiPartner does not charge subjects for inclusion.
Payment is not required to suggest, review, create, correct, or publish an article.
An article is accepted or rejected based on its information, sources, usefulness, and writing quality.
Review and Removal
WikiPartner editors may:
- Request better sources
- Correct unsupported information
- Rewrite promotional content
- Merge similar pages
- Move an article to a better title
- Reject a weak submission
- Remove a page that breaks these guidelines
Decisions may be reviewed when new sources or important information become available.
Suggesting an Article
Readers may suggest an article by providing:
- The subject’s correct name
- A short explanation of why the subject should be included
- Useful sources
- Important facts
- Any conflict of interest
Submitting a suggestion does not guarantee publication.
