Usage

Use this template for articles about television programs and shows.

It can be used for television series, limited series, miniseries, sitcoms, dramas, reality shows, talk shows, game shows, news programs, children's programs, documentaries, and other recurring or standalone television productions.

All parameters are optional. Add only information supported by reliable sources. Empty fields are not displayed.

Use the basic version when only the main show details are needed. Use the full version when additional production, broadcast, cast, or series information is useful.

Do not add private information, promotional claims, unsourced figures, or unnecessary details.

Parameter guidance

name The commonly used name of the television program.

native_name The program's name in another language or writing system.

original_title The original title when different from the commonly used title.

other_name An alternative or widely used title.

image The main promotional image, logo, poster, or another suitable representative image.

image_alt A short accessibility description of the image.

caption A short factual caption for the displayed image.

description A short factual description of the program.

genre The main genre or genres of the program.

created_by The person or people credited with creating the program.

developed_by The person or people responsible for developing the program when different from the creator.

showrunner The showrunner or showrunners when applicable.

director The director or directors.

producer The producer or producers.

writer The credited writer or writers.

screenplay The person or people credited specifically with the screenplay.

story The person or people credited with the story.

presented_by The presenter or presenters for programs such as talk shows, game shows, news programs, or reality programs.

starring The principal cast members or regular participants.

narrated_by The narrator or narrators when applicable.

theme_music_composer The composer of the main theme music.

composer The composer or composers of the program's music.

opening_theme The opening theme or song.

ending_theme The ending theme or song when applicable.

production_companies The main companies involved in producing the program.

distributor The company responsible for distributing or syndicating the program when applicable.

network The original television network or major broadcaster.

channel The original television channel when applicable.

country The country or countries associated with the production.

language The main language or languages of the program.

first_aired The date or period when the program first aired.

last_aired The date or period when the program last aired. Leave empty for ongoing programs.

release_date Release information for programs first released through streaming or another distribution method.

seasons The number of seasons.

episodes The number of episodes.

runtime The typical running time of an episode.

format The television or distribution format when useful.

related_shows Other closely related television programs.

preceded_by A previous program in a connected series or franchise.

followed_by A later program in a connected series or franchise.
